Today (October 28, 2024), Mr. Phanombut Chantrachoti, Director-General of the Fine Arts Department, revealed that the Fine Arts Office 7, Chiang Mai, together with the Disaster Prevention and Mitigation Center, Region 10, Lampang, installed a long-distance water pump to drain water that had flooded the ancient site of Wat Ku Pa Dom, in the area of ​​the ancient city of Wiang Kum Kam, Tambon Tha Wang Tan, Amphoe Saraphi, Chiang Mai Province. This ancient site is where the stucco pattern, decorated on the handrail of the temple stairs, "Makara spitting dragon pattern", was discovered, a stucco work that is of significant artistic value and is difficult to find in the Lanna region.
